From our Audio Visual Coordinator
My name is James Howe, and I've had the privilege of being a part of our Crosspoint community with my family since 2018. Many of you may know me from my involvement in various volunteer roles within our church. From Guest Services to the Crosspoint Kids Tech Booth, I've been blessed to serve alongside my family and fellow church members. However, it was with the Audio-Visual position that I found my true calling.
Serving in the AV ministry has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me and my two boys, Elijah and Nate. Together, we've had the opportunity to serve in the main worship services, forging bonds with each other and our fellow volunteers. It's been amazing to see my sons grow and develop their skills, starting from the Crosspoint Kids AV Booth and currently running the main worship services. My oldest son has discovered his career path through involvement in our church's AV ministry. His passion for lighting in Theater and concert venues was nurtured here at Crosspoint. It's a testament to the power of serving the Lord and finding one's calling in the process.
As we continue to grow, and expand our AV ministry, we need individuals, and or families to join the main worship and our Kids Ministry AV team. Whether you have basic computer skills or are a bit more tech-savvy, there's a place for you here. We provide all the tools and training you need to succeed in your role. All we ask is your willingness to serve, and your commitment to growing your faith and skills.
In the spirit of teamwork, I'd like to use a baseball analogy to illustrate our approach. Just as in baseball, every position is vital to the success of the team. From the outfield to the infield, each player brings their unique skills and talents to the game. Similarly, in our ministry, every volunteer plays a crucial role in creating an amazing worship experience. Plus, middle schoolers who start in Kids Ministry AV can be drafted to serve in the “big leagues” of our main worship services!
