From Our Campus Minister
Have you ever heard of the 10/40 window?
How about the 4-14 window?
OK, go Google it if you want or just listen in (or read) for a moment…
If you know missions, you know that the 10/40 window is a rectangular area of the world that geographically stretches from North Africa across the Middle East to Asia, lying between 10 degrees and 40 degrees north latitude. In other words, the 10/40 window is the region where many unreached people and those living in extreme poverty are the focus of prayer and mission work. We could send you there to do mission work!
Or may I make a suggestion? I would like to send you to do work in the 4-14 window. This is what the International Bible Society, as well as the Barna Group, call the early faith window. An estimated 83% of Christians make their first commitment to Jesus between the ages of 4 and 14.
You can make an immediate impact on the lives of young people!
You can pray for our Mission Northwest teams of students next week, June 2-6. These students will be all over Northwest Florida serving God by serving others! Hopefully, some of you are already signed up to serve. If not, sign up here!
You can also pray and volunteer to serve kids for Vacation Bible School, June 15-18. If you’ve never served in this area, I would encourage you to do so because you will be amazed by what God is doing in the lives of our children! And God will use you to point them to the One who will do that amazing work in and through them. Take the leap and sign up here.
Finally, did you know that there is a resurgence in faith in Gen Z and Millennials? (For reference, Gen Z, born from 1997-2012, and Millennials, born from 1981-1996.) For someone who has been serving young people for most of his life and ministry, I believe that the seeds of faith that were planted years ago in student mission work as well as vacation bible schools are coming to fruition in young adulthood, and I am thankful that God did that work of sowing seeds of faith!
Will you come and be a part of doing the same?

Billy Russell, Campus Pastor
