Crosspoint Family,

We are officially underway with Together in the Word, and I’m really excited about what God is already beginning to do as we read through the New Testament together.

This week, we’re reading Matthew 1–5, and this Sunday our message will come from Matthew 3:1–12, where John the Baptist announces that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. So, as you read, pay attention to what God is showing us about Jesus, His Kingdom, and how we are called to respond.

And here’s what I love about this: we’re doing it together. Every age and stage is on the same page. Pre-readers and early readers are following age-appropriate plans through Kids Ministry. Middle and high school students are using the adult reading plan, and Student Ministry has given them journals to practice the H.E.A.R. method of reading Scripture. Adults, students, kids, families, and Life Groups are all moving through the same passages together.

So if you’ve already missed a day, don’t stop. This isn’t about doing it perfectly or checking every box. Just pick up with the day we’re on and keep going.

Let’s keep reading, and come ready Sunday as we open God’s Word together in Matthew 3:1–12.
