Hey Crosspoint Bluewater!
Welcome to October!! Can you believe it’s already October??!! I’m sure you’re hearing all about pumpkin spice, flannels, Uggs, and Halloween, but hopefully, you’re also hearing all about Awakening! Our current sermon series is about Awakening the church, getting back to our first love in Jesus, and praying that an awakening reclaims the Church (big C), as well, as our country. God knows we could use it!
October is going to be a busy time: On Saturday this week, (October 5), we’re hosting Crosspoint Serve Day. All Crosspoint campuses will be going into the community and being “Helpful Neighbors” to those who live, work, and play around us. At the Bluewater Campus, we have several projects lined up at the Bluewater Elementary School, Ruckel Middle School, and a couple more sites—both indoors and out. I invite you to join us and donate a few hours—we’re meeting at the church at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, rain or shine. We’ll have projects for every age and ability. We could use some gardening tools, chainsaws, power washers, some tree trimming tools, and your help! This is a great opportunity to demonstrate our love for our neighbors and show our community that Crosspoint practices what it preaches! You can sign up HERE, or just show up—we’ll put you to work!
Do you consider yourself holy? Well, you are! Holy means “set apart,” and as believers, we’ve been set apart for God’s mission. The real question is, “Do you live into your holiness?” Hear more during this Sunday’s message: "Awakening to Holiness.” It’s Communion Sunday, too, so be sure to join us. We’re also hosting Discover Crosspoint at 11:00! THEN, October 13 is Baptism Sunday. If you are interested in baptism (for yourself or your kids), let’s talk. We’d love to celebrate a line of people taking this step in their faith journey on the 13th! Whew!
Save The Date: Sunday, October 20 will be the culmination of the Awaken series. This will be an opportunity for us to step out in faith and demonstrate our commitment to the growth of God’s Kingdom in our area. We are in the midst of a significant time in our church, and you need to be here, it's important, so please make every effort to attend.
