Niceville Campus eLetter
From our Recreation Minister
Hello, Crosspoint Athletes and Families.
"And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." Colossians 3:17
My name is Josh Salazar, and I am the new Director of Recreation at Crosspoint in Niceville. I have over 20 years of experience as a youth and recreation minister. As I start this new chapter with Crosspoint, I would like to offer sincere gratitude to those who have prayed for and built this facility with the intention of building God's Kingdom for His glory. With this at the forefront, I desire to pray for and build a community that effectively glorifies God in all we do. I ask you all to join me in prioritizing prayer as a foundational part of this ministry. This will include praying for the facility, praying for events, and praying for the people who benefit from this place. My father-in-law always said, “Five minutes of prayer can do more for a person than an hour of sharing your opinion with them.” To see a move of God, we must begin by inviting Him into all we say and do.
In fact, we are trying to make a lot of opportunities for everyone to do just that, all through the fun and fellowship of recreation. As we move into fall, registration is open for our adult indoor volleyball league, Little Angels basketball clinic, and youth indoor basketball league. We even have many other adult and youth recreation activities that you might enjoy, such as baton, dance, gymnastics, pickleball, soccer, square dancing, senior fitness classes…….. Please feel free to reach out to me and the recreation team anytime, and please remember me in your prayers as I begin my new role as Director of Recreation.
Sincerely,
Josh Salazar, Recreation Minister
"And whatever you ask in My Name, I will do, and the Father may be glorified in the Son." John 14:13

OCTOBER PRESCHOOL FOCUS | LET'S FLY
If you’ve ever been near a playground when an airplane flies by, you know the sound of the airplane is quickly followed by the sound of kids shouting with excitement! Their innate sense of wonder is immediately turned up as they ask questions like: Where do you think that plane is going? How big is that plane? How can it fly so high in the sky? Today, our preschoolers will go to places like school, daycare, church, and grandparents’ houses. We know God has plans for each of them, and as they grow, they will go to even more places that might be even further away. We want to ensure that wherever they go, they can look to God with a trusting heart and say, “Let’s fly!” because they know God is always with them.

OCTOBER ELEMENTARY FOCUS | GAME SHOW: THE CHOICE IS YOURS
There are a lot of choices that we need to make in life. Some of those choices can help us grow and shape us positively. Others can pull us in different directions, leaving us struggling to determine the best choice. What do we do when we’re confronted with all of these choices? Do we rush ahead? Or do we pause and let God lead us toward the best way to act? Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit. It’s one of the ways we can tell that God is transforming our lives and that we’re growing in our faith. Thankfully, we don’t have to find self-control on our own. When we follow Jesus, God’s Spirit is with us and helps us make the wise choice.
