Awaken the Church, Awaken the World – Join Us This Sunday!
Dear Freeport Family!
I hope you have been tracking with us in our series "Awaken", where we explore how God is calling His Church to rise up and bring light to the world. In this season, we believe that as the Church awakens, we will ignite change in our communities and ultimately the world! We pray for NOTHING LESS THAN AN AWAKENING! This is the only thing that will truly bring healing to our country and world. We are also praying for the opportunity God has given to us to bring about an awakening through building our new campus here in the Freeport community.
I want to personally invite you to join us for our services this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. as we dive deeper into this powerful series. Come expectant with your Awaken booklet, as we worship together and hear a message that challenges us to be fully awake to God’s purpose in our lives. Sunday's sermon might be the most pivotal in our pursuit to bring about awakening.
Also, don't forget Community Serve Day happening THIS Saturday, October 5, at 8:00 a.m. This is a special opportunity for us to put faith into action by serving our community in tangible ways. Whether it’s lending a hand to those in need, beautifying public spaces, or connecting with our neighbors, we have the chance to embody the love of Christ.
Our vision for this Serve Day is simple: as we awaken to God’s calling, we also awaken our communities through service, love, and unity. Mark your calendars and make plans to join us!
On Community Serve Day, Freeport Campus will be acting as helpful neighbors at the Hammock Bay Garage Sale!
We will set up a tent and tables in a very visible space in Hammock Bay and distribute free popcorn, pop-ice, water, and soda to anyone who stops by. In addition, we will ask some of our prayer team to be available to pray with people who want prayer. We will also be collecting donations that will be used to purchase diapers which will be distributed to local foster families. The whole Freeport campus will serve together from a single 'hosting base' and the work is friendly hospitality with a side of 'collecting donations for a mission partner.'
Some jobs that our people will do at the tent:
Make signs that we can hold up "free prayer" "free snacks" "Crosspoint Loves You" "Come Chat With us". "Happy Deal Hunting" etc. This is a great job for kids, we will supply all materials
Make and distribute popcorn (using popcorn popper and generator, we supply)
Hand out drinks to people who pull in (or even people who pull over and stay in their car!)
A few people need to be designated to represent the mission: "We're accepting donations, at the end of the day we will go and buy diapers to go to local foster families, here is a little card that explains that mission!"
Prayer team, to listen and pray with anyone who wants prayer.
Sign Up To Be Part Of The Day HERE!
Let’s come together to be the hands and feet of Jesus—awakened, empowered, and ready to make a difference.
See you Sunday!
