About Crosspoint Academy
MISSION
To provide children with a strong foundation for: a meaningful relationship with God, future academic success and a compelling sense of social responsibility by providing activities and opportunities for spiritual, cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth. An outreach ministry of our church, Crosspoint Academy strives to meet the needs of children and encourage the development of Christian families through parent participation and education.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His Virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death on a cross as a sacrifice for our sins, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that for a person to be saved from the condemnation of sin, he or she must experience a spiritual birth by personal faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. We believe in the personal ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved are raised to life everlasting, and they that are lost are raised to judgment and condemnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ made evident through the church which is called the “body of Christ”.

DISCIPLINE
We believe children are best helped by a firm but gentle, calm, and consistent approach, determined by the child’s understanding and stage of development. Teachers utilize redirection, positive reinforcement, and the occasional use of a “thoughtful spot” followed by a positive discussion with a child about expected behavior. Parents are kept informed of their child’s progress and any repeated discipline issues. At no time will a child be subjected to discipline which is severe, humiliating, frightening or associated with food, rest, or toileting. Spanking or any form of physical punishment is prohibited for all child care personnel. Children may not be denied active play as a consequence of misbehavior. Should repeated discipline issues continue with any child, the Crosspoint Academy administration reserves the right to dismiss the child with approval from the Kids Ministry office. Any major infractions such as physical bodily harm will result in immediate dismissal. Tuition is not refunded for disciplinary dismissals.
