First and foremost, we are asking you to pray and seek God’s direction. We ask you to prioritize Sunday worship services and prepare your heart to listen to God’s Word. Additionally, take time to reflect on the messages each week and talk with your family and friends about what the Lord is revealing to you. We trust that the Lord will direct you as you pray about what commitment you should make. Mark your calendar for Commitment Sunday on October 20, and make plans to be part of this special worship service as we celebrate how the Lord is working in and through us. We trust that the Lord is working in your life, in our church, and in our community, and we look forward in faith to the tremendous impact that He will make through our commitment.
The “right amount” is the amount that God places on your heart to give sacrificially. Your commitment is an act of worship. The apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 that “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
We believe that the Awaken Campaign will be a time where God asks our members to give generously. For some, this may mean giving sacrificially. Perhaps the Lord is asking you to sell something, cut back in certain areas, or even trust God in faith by making a commitment that you believe God will provide for as you seek Him. We are asking everyone to be part of the Awaken Campaign so we can all support, love, encourage, and pray for one another.
The truth is that none of us know exactly what our future holds. That’s the beauty and challenge of taking steps of faith! We want to encourage you even if you’re not sure if you will be part of Crosspoint for the next three years; we invite you to still commit generously and be part of this life-changing endeavor God has for our church. If needed, you may modify your commitment at any time. But often, people continue to support Crosspoint as a ministry because they want to be part of the future. If you happen to move out of the area, we would love for that to be part of your story!

At this time, we’re not asking you to make a financial commitment to our Awaken Campaign. However, if you have questions about Awaken and would like to discuss it further, please let us know! Of course! Unforeseen circumstances may cause you to want to increase or decrease your giving commitment in the future. At any time during the next three years, you may review or change your commitment.
Most churches typically raise about two to three times their annual giving in a capital campaign. After reviewing our financial picture, the proposed building design, and projected construction and long-term costs, our administrative board prayerfully considered and approved the goal of $15.5 million. We believe that through the faith and generosity of God’s people, this goal is possible.
We do not expect the Awaken Campaign to have an adverse effect on our normal operating or missions outreach budgets, as all commitments toward the Awaken Campaign are made over and above regular giving. Historically, churches do not experience decreases in regular giving during a capital campaign. Instead, the overall focus on stewardship and generosity stirs individuals and families to be more intentional in both their regular tithes and campaign commitments.
The Awaken Campaign is one of the leading tools that will enable us to accomplish Crosspoint’s vision and the 2035 Dream. We anticipate increased community outreach through this new campus location with a Community Life Center and a preschool (Crosspoint Academy). We expect to see more people connecting people to Christ and their unique role in God’s mission, more disciple-makers who have found and are living out their unique role in God’s mission, and more first time conversions to Christ. This campus will also enlarge our network of faith communities that are becoming disciple-makers as we expand our reach eastward across Northwest Florida and beyond.
We plan to move into the building and begin using the Community Life Center and open Crosspoint Academy by late 2026.
