Christina graduated from the University of West Florida with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and pursued her Master of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. She specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, self-esteem and grief for teens and adults.

Christina's passion is providing a safe and non-judgmental environment for her clients to explore themselves and their struggles. During visits with Christina, clients are taught coping skills to deal with not only unwanted feelings, but also everyday life stressors. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) as well as an eclectic therapeutic approach and adjusts according to each client's unique challenges and needs. Christina is especially interested in helping individuals heal from trauma and supporting them as they create new stories for their lives by drawing on individuals’ strengths and their support systems.

Laura graduated with honors from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Social Work. While in graduate school, she worked at Baptist Hospital as a palliative care social worker and at Escambia County Healthy Start as the Community Program Coordinator. Upon graduation, she began working for the Department of Juvenile Justice as a Counselor. Laura has worked as a Hospice Social Worker and a Family & Community Development Manager giving her experience with a broad range of knowledge. She was working for the Okaloosa County School District as a counselor for children when she felt the Lord call her into Christian counseling.

Mrs. Christianson is an advocate at heart and relishes working on behalf of others to enable them to reach for and recognize healing. Laura draws upon her varied career background in business, the medical field, education and social work to offer those she serves a comprehensive blend of professionalism and compassion. Laura specializes in the following fields: Addiction, Behavioral Health, Chronic Illness, Depression, Domestic Violence, End-of-Life Issues, Grief & Bereavement, Parenting, PTSD, Social-Emotional Learning, Spiritual Healing, and Suicide. Laura’s counseling approach would best be described as holistic. She is patient-centered, goal-oriented, and works with her clients to negotiate coping techniques in a manner that best sparks growth and fulfillment. Utilizing methods of empathetic listening and motivational questioning, Laura helps her clients identify their unique strengths and resiliencies and incorporates these into the healing process. Mrs. Christianson is also a proponent of evidence-based practice and continually strives to learn new concepts in her field.

Debbie graduated from Florida State University with a Masters in Social Work in 2005. She has practiced social work in the inpatient, outpatient, and military settings. Debbie started a non-profit organization where she educated parents about Individual Education Plans (IEP) and the rights of students with disabilities.

Ms. Kern provides therapeutic support to individuals, couples and groups in the areas of trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship distress, separation and divorce, betrayal, anger management, family violence, grief, loss, problems in parenting, family estrangement and other topics of concern.

Ms. Kern was a military brat, attending eight schools by the eighth grade during her father's 21-year Marine Corps service. She was married for 36 years and lived in several different states in support of her husband's 28-year Air Force career. She is familiar with family stressors associated with family separations resulting from deployment, frequent TDY's and PCS's.

Debbie is the mother of four grown children and grandmother of 12.

Eileen received a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling & Educational Ministries from Wheaton College.

She has served as a counseling consultant to military active duty personnel, spouses, and families for the last 11 years. She is certified in Prepare and Enrich Couples Assessment helping couples find real answers on the health of their relationship prior to marriage or after they have married, and finding practical steps to strengthen areas in need of growth.

Her certification in Critical Incident Stress Management as a certified Resiliency Trainer provides insight into understanding how trauma impacts our lives and learning resiliency skills to find personal peace and overcome challenges.

She is respected by clients as being a good listener, creating a safe environment for hope and healing, easy to talk with, and having an approachable enjoyable personality. Clients find her approach to be practical, and effective, taking into consideration a holistic view of mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical aspects. She has served in a variety of counseling and consulting roles for 38 years assisting couples, individuals, families, children, pastors, missionaries, and teams.

Eileen enjoys helping others find tools that help resolve burdens, and restore personal freedom and relational joy. Couples and family members enjoy the tools she provides to build healthy communication, resolve conflict, and grow deeper in relational intimacy.

Addie graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in Health and Human Development. She is currently working towards completing her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. She has worked as a leadership consultant in the business world for eight years and is both a military spouse and a new mom. She and her husband have been married for six years.

Through experience and witnessing the experiences of others, Addie feels deeply called to the Mental Health profession. She believes in the unique dignity of each person and thus works to tailor the counseling experience to an individual’s needs and personality. She utilizes a multimodal approach while striving to stay informed on new developments in research. Addie desires to use her time and training to help others and accompany them as they navigate their unique life experiences thus working to tailor the counseling process to each individual’s needs.

Mariah is a compassionate and skilled therapist with a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Boston University (2022). With experience in both non-profit, intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for teens and their families, and private practice settings, Mariah has dedicated her career to empowering individuals, families, and teens to overcome life's toughest challenges with empathy, understanding and resiliency skills.

Having worked as an IOP Therapist for teens aged 11-21 and their families, Mariah deeply understands the impact of trauma on family dynamics. She specializes in providing holistic therapeutic support for issues such as trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and complex family conflicts. Her expertise also extends to parenting challenges, including co-parenting, connection-based parenting, attachment wounds, Motherhood Rage, and postpartum struggles.

Mariah’s personal journey, growing up in rural Appalachia and navigating life as a military spouse, gives her unique insight into the stressors faced by military families. She knows firsthand the emotional toll of frequent separations, deployments, and the pressures of military life. Mariah is the mother to three rambunctious boys, enjoys the “boy mom” life, and being outdoors as much as possible to enjoy the Florida weather.

Brandy graduated with honors from Liberty University with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist. She uses evidence-based holistic practices while working collaboratively with her clients on their healing journeys. Brandy wholeheartedly believes counseling is her passion and purpose in life and purposes to render her 100% authenticity, unconditional positive regard, and empathetic heart to everyone she meets. Brandy is a veteran of the United States Army and served two deployments to Operation Iraqi Freedom. She has been married for over twenty years and has two young adult college attending children.

Nannette Borland, LCSW-S

Nannette graduated from Florida State University with a Master’s degree in Social Work in 2006. While working towards her graduate degree, she completed internships at Bridgeway Center in Ft Walton Beach and Cope Center in DeFuniak Springs, both community mental health centers. She worked as a hospice social worker for 10 years and as a counselor in a Christian counseling center. She is the founder of the Cookie Angels ministry, a guardian ad litem in Okaloosa County and a Stephen Minister.

Nannette has had experience in working with adolescents, adults and couples. She focuses on helping her clients to identify personal strengths and to incorporate these in learning coping strategies to forge a successful path forward. Nannette provides a holistic, faith based, and evidence based therapeutic approach to clients who are seeking change and growth in their lives. She believes that change is possible when a client identifies life goals and commits to making the changes necessary to achieve these goals.

After traveling around the country as an Air Force wife and mother of three sons, Nannette and her husband returned to the Florida Panhandle and have called Niceville and Crosspoint Church their home since 2000. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and attending grandson’s UWF football games at home and away.

Daniel Williams, Intern

Daniel graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2024. He is currently working on his Master of Social Work and will graduate in December 2025. Daniel finds social work rewarding and is passionate about working with people. He is a veteran of 20 years in the Army, where he served as both a combat medic and then as a Green Beret communications sergeant in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He is passionate about working with those who suffer from post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, and addiction through an evidence-based biblical worldview. Christ called Daniel in Afghanistan while on a combat operation in 2017 and has been walking with the Lord ever since.

Daniel has been married to Sarah for a year. He has three children, ages nine to eighteen, and one dog. Most summers, you can find them outside at the beach, swimming at the local pool, or working out at the gym. Daniel and his family love the Lord and their local church.

Aileen was born and raised in Hawaii, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology. Following her graduation, she moved to the mainland as a military spouse. During this time, she raised a family and dedicated herself extensively to church planting and church ministry. Her passion for helping others led her to continue her education, and she later obtained her Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.

Aileen's career in mental health began in community-based settings in Wisconsin and Hawaii. In these roles, she gained valuable experience working with diverse populations and addressing a wide range of mental health issues. Her commitment to helping others eventually led her to transition to private practice, where she could provide more personalized care.

Aileen recently moved to Florida and has since been licensed in the state. Her education and varied experiences have shaped her into a compassionate and knowledgeable professional who has a passion for assisting individuals in achieving mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational health. She has worked with both adults and children, helping them navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma, as well as issues related to marriage, parenting, and divorce recovery. Furthermore, she has experience with adults suffering from serious and persistent mental illness. Aileen is a certified facilitator with Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS), a program designed for pre-marital counseling.

Her goal as a counselor is to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to work through life's challenges and to impart hope to those who may struggle to see their way forward. Her counseling approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based modalities to help her clients move towards wellness.

Eva graduated from the University of West Florida with a Masters in Social Work. Eva specializes in Child-Centered Play Therapy with children ages 3-12. Eva uses play as the primary means of communication, recognizing that children often express themselves more fully through play than through words alone. Eva has experience working with children dealing with trauma, anxiety, grief, behavioral difficulties, and other emotional challenges. By allowing children to express their emotions through play, they are able to facilitate growth, self-discovery, and healing at their own pace. The Child-Centered approach is rooted in empathy, patience, and a deep respect for each children's unique journey. Eva is here to walk alongside you and your child toward a brighter, more balanced future.

Molly Butler, Intern

Molly graduated from Florida State University with a master's in social work. She currently works as an elementary school counselor and has joined the Crosspoint Counseling Center for the summer months. She is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern and is working towards licensure. Molly is both a veteran of the Air Force and a military spouse. She and her husband have been married for 13 years and have two beautiful children.

Molly completed both a field internship with Okaloosa County schools as a school social worker and a clinical internship with the Gulf Coast Veterans Administration. She currently works extensively with elementary-aged children in school settings, helping them navigate challenges associated with grief, abuse, poverty, family separations, learning disabilities, and other medical diagnosis that impact school performance and emotional well-being. She has been trained in the “Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Children” model to teach mindfulness, emotional regulation, increase resilience, and improve communication and social skills.

Additionally, Molly has a deep understanding of the unique experiences and needs of military families and offers counseling to promote emotional well-being and strengthen connections during transitions and challenges. Molly leads a Christ-centered life and is committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for clients.She strives to empower individuals and families to thrive in every aspect of their lives.
