Who could have possibly been interested in a young, unmarried, pregnant peasant girl making an 80-mile trip from Nazareth to Bethlehem? A few were. And all of them bowed down to worship Jesus. No one who was anybody could recognize him. Only those “alert” to the things of God and “Open to the Unexpected” recognized what God was doing in Jesus.
