From Our Campus Minister
Change happens at Crosspoint.
This is one of our distinctives at our church. I know you have heard this before, and hopefully you have experienced it as well. What we mean when we say this is that as a church, the core message of the gospel of Jesus does not change, but all the methods of being a people connecting people to Christ does change. And because the gospel does not change, we share the truth of God’s word to people so that they experience the transformational change of heart within, becoming faithful followers of Jesus.
But one other thing that you may have noticed in the life of our church, because it is generally true in life as well, is that seasons change. We have had a few seasonal changes around here at Crosspoint, Bluewater Bay. We are in the middle of an administrative change at our campus, and we should have a new administrative assistant on the team soon.
You have already experienced the change of Mike Vlk, our Associate Pastor, retiring. (Or has he?) Ha! Mike loves the church and continues to serve God by serving others at our campus, even though he “retired.” What an example for all of us! I love that about his heart to be who God has called him to be. And even as he continues to serve this congregation in retirement, we are preparing to welcome our new Associate Campus Pastor beginning in July. You may already know her, and even if you do not, you will be amazed by the kingdom work she has done. We look forward to welcoming Meredith Aylward Jordan to our team and please join us in prayer as we get ready to welcome her and her family!
So, remember, change happens at Crosspoint. Every season God provides fresh new ways for us to be attentive to His Spirit as He works in our midst, and I look forward to this next season of growth!

Billy Russell, Campus Pastor
