From Our Associate Campus Pastor
Hey Crosspoint, Bluewater!
Summer is in full swing, and I am thrilled to be joining our campus team as our Associate Campus Pastor! Over the next several weeks, I look forward to meeting each of you and getting to know you. It is already an absolute joy to be one of your pastors, and I believe God has great things in store as we continue following Him together. Here's a little bit about me:
My name is Meredith Aylward-Jordan, which is a mouthful, so I'll go ahead and give you the trick to pronouncing my double-last name! Aylward-Jordan = AL (like alligator), -ward (like word), Jordan (like the basketball player). 🙂
I grew up in Niceville, then spent 5 years in Tallahassee working on my bachelor's degree (FSU!) and part of my seminary degree while serving a church plant there. I came back to the area in 2023 to finish up my Master of Divinity degree through Asbury Seminary and served at our Niceville campus for almost 3 years. In May of 2024, I was ordained as a Deacon in the Global Methodist Church. My wonderful husband, William, is a teacher over at Rocky Bayou Christian School, and we have a six-month-old daughter (Sara) who is arguably the cutest baby ever.
At our campus, you'll see me supporting our Life Groups and Next Steps ministries, preaching periodically, and encouraging YOU in your unique roles in God's mission. When I'm not at work or in mom-mode, I love sharing good food with people, being outside, and dabbling in some pickleball/tennis! I also play a couple instruments (piano and saxophone), which will hopefully stop collecting dust when we leave the newborn phase!
Mostly, I LOVE helping God's people flourish into the people He has made them to be. If you've participated in our DiscipleStory program, my "two words" are "Encouraging Faithfulness." It is my joy and passion to champion you along as you take one more step towards Jesus. God desires that we would trust Him and live well in His Kingdom for a lifetime (+ eternity), and we get to choose faithfulness to Him every day, in every area of our lives. I am NEVER too busy for a text, phone call, or meet-up towards that end. Please feel free to connect with me!
I'll leave you with this blessing that Paul gave the church at Thessalonica: 23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your entire spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it. (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)
In Christ,

Meredith
