From Our Campus Pastor
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens….
I love seasons because I also love change. Well, let me also admit that I love the concept of change mostly when it impacts someone else! I think if most of us were honest with ourselves, we might admit that same thing, that we’re okay with change as long as it doesn’t impact us personally!
But change is good. It is also one of the distinctives at Crosspoint. You’ve heard it and probably know it. Change happens at Crosspoint. We want change because while we have a heart that people will come as they are, because that’s the only way you really can arrive, the goal would never be to stay as you are. Experiencing Jesus means that we will change, we must change, we can’t help but change! That is because the Spirit of the Living God is at work in us to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose. (Philippians 2:13)
I am excited about this next season in the life of our church and campus. As we will soon finish up the summer break and head back to the rhythms of the school year, you will notice some changes in our focus on the vision that we have. Trust that it is a good process of growth for us, and it will be a season that is different than we may be used to, and it will require a willingness to change.
The opening of this article is the beginning of Ecclesiastes, chapter 3. Later in verse 11 it says this: He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
I’m looking forward to the beauty that He will create in and through the people of Crosspoint as we trust what He will do in this process of change because of our faithfulness to Him. Click on one of the tabs below to take a next step of faith, to be willing to be changed by the One who has set eternity in your heart!
