Bluewater Bay Campus eLetter
From our Kids Minister
Hi Crosspoint Family!
I wanted to take a moment to share a personal update with you.
After much prayer, reflection, and conversation, I've made the bittersweet decision to step away from my role as Kids Minister at Crosspoint Bluewater Bay. My last Sunday serving in this role will be this Sunday, November 1st.
For over 10_ years, I've had the privilege of serving in Next Gen ministry, and I can honestly say I never imagined stepping away from ministry in this capacity. But if there's one thing I've learned along the way, it's that ministry has never been about a position, a title, or even a building.
It's about people.
It's about pointing others to Jesus. And it's about faithfully following wherever God leads.
In Philippians 1:3–6, Paul writes about his gratitude for those who have partnered with him in sharing the gospel, reminding them that "he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
As I reflect on this season, those words feel especially meaningful.
One of the greatest privileges of serving in Kids Ministry is getting a front-row seat to what God is doing in the lives of children and families. I've watched kids begin to understand who Jesus is, ask big questions about their faith, and discover that they have a place and a purpose in God's Kingdom.
But none of that happens because of one person.
It happens because of a church family that believes investing in the next generation matters. It happens because volunteers faithfully show up week after week. It happens because parents and caregivers are committed to raising their children to know and love Jesus. And it happens because God is faithfully at work through His people.
One of the values I love most about Crosspoint is that the next generation isn't just the future of the Church. The next generation is NOW!
And I hope we never lose sight of that.
The children walking through our doors each Sunday aren't simply waiting for their turn to be part of the Church. They are part of the Church today. They are learning what it means to follow Jesus, love their neighbors, and live out their faith. What we do today matters for eternity.
While stepping away from this role is difficult, I'm also looking forward to a new season for our family, including the opportunity for us to worship together. I'm grateful for the conversations, encouragement, and support I've received as we've prayerfully walked through this decision.
And here's what I know: God's work at Crosspoint Kids doesn't begin or end with any one person.
The same God who has been faithful in seasons past will continue to be faithful in the seasons ahead.
My heart for the next generation hasn't changed, and my hope is to continue serving in ministry wherever God opens the door next.
To our incredible volunteers, families, staff, and church community: thank you. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of partnering with you in helping the next generation know and follow Jesus. Thank you for the encouragement, the conversations, the laughter, and the countless ways you've made this season meaningful.
And the good news is, this isn't goodbye! My family and I will continue to be part of the Crosspoint community, just at a different campus.
As I close this chapter, my prayer is that we would continue to be a church that sees the value in every child, equips every family, and faithfully points the next generation to Jesus.
Because the work God is doing is so much bigger than any one of us, and what a privilege it is to be part of it.
