From Our Associate Campus Pastor
It’s not every day that you get popsicles and a bubble machine at church!!
This Sunday was a blast, wasn’t it? Outside of our regular weekly worship experience, we hosted GroupLink: a twice-a-year event where we take some time to highlight small-group community and help people find their people. As followers of Jesus, we know that growing in our faith means going beyond Connecting with Christ individually through worship services and personal practices. We grow by Developing in Community - surrounding ourselves with people who know us deeply, love us deeply, and have permission to “spur [us] on towards love and good works” as Hebrews tells us.
Finding your people can feel hard and scary, but it’s as simple as two moms asking to swap phone numbers while their kids played in the bubble machine. Maybe that person is just in your life for a season, or maybe a life-long faith-friendship could be starting - all because someone was willing to make room in their heart and life for someone else. Just like Jesus did for the people around Him…and for us.
