Israel’s King David is one of the Bible’s most famous people. We tend to look at Bible heroes through rose-colored glasses, but David was a man of great “highs” and terrible “lows” and the Bible doesn’t whitewash the flaws of this hero of the faith. In spite of it all, the Bible refers to David as “a man after God’s own heart”!
