This message focuses on how to get connected in a Life Group at Crosspoint, and the importance of growing in faith and living life in relationship to others, as we continue to connect people to
The Kingdom
The Kingdom of God is a common phrase in the Church, but what does it mean… and what does it look like? During this season of Advent we remember that through Jesus, God’s Kingdom has already broken into this world, but we also look forward to Jesus’ return when God’s Kingdom is fully revealed. But what are we looking forward to, what is The Kingdom of God like, and how can we help bring it in our world today?
Disconnected
Even our online connections can leave us feeling more isolated and lonely; like our life doesn’t measure up to everyone else’s. Especially as we approach the holidays, what do we do when we feel isolated and alone? How can we reconnect in a (dis) connected world?
Firestarters
The American church is very similar to a campfire. We envision ourselves sitting around enjoying it, basking in its warmth, and enjoying the company of good friends and family… but life gets in the way so we never really make it happen. Then when we do make time for it, the fire doesn’t seem as warm or bright as we imagined it to be. But Christianity was never meant to be a bonfire, something we sit around and watch. It’s designed to be a wildfire.
Imperfect Church
We would be the first to admit: The Church is certainly not what it ought to be! The Church has not always been as forthcoming about our faults and failures. Join us as we seek to be as honest about the failures of the Church and to talk about how we can more humbly represent Jesus Christ our Savior! We intend to validate those who have had valid criticisms of the Church, and to articulate what the Church should be.
Gen Now
Gen Now: Helping the next generation win. Most times the things that drove us the most crazy as kids are the times we miss the most. Dont Miss it! This message discusses making the most of the time we have left with our kids and students. This message is for everyone raising up the next generation. But the next generation is actually the now generation. Pass on the faith.
Student Takeover Weekend 2018
Students have taken over Crosspoint during the Student Takeover Weekend 2018. Take a look at the highlights on this amazing weekend and learn how our students impact our church. Our students show us how we are made to serve by helping out in the communities and championing worship!
David
Israel’s King David is one of the Bible’s most famous people. We tend to look at Bible heroes through rose-colored glasses, but David was a man of great “highs” and terrible “lows” and the Bible doesn’t whitewash the flaws of this hero of the faith. In spite of it all, the Bible refers to David as “a man after God’s own heart”! Join us in this summer series as we look at a great number of lessons that we can learn from David–lessons that are as relevant and helpful today as then.
The Problem of God
Have you ever been skeptical about God? Had a crisis in your faith journey and wondered, “Why is this happening?” or “Where is God in all of this?” or maybe, “Is there even a God at all?” The Problem of God will explore the claims of Christianity. Far from being irrational, Christianity welcomes and encourages intellectual questioning. Belief in God and the Christian faith is both rational and compelling. Join us for this seven-week series as we create a safe and honest space to answer these questions. Your faith will be challenged no matter where you are on that journey!
Greater Than
Everyone wants to experience a taste of greatness in life. It’s what drives so many to competition in every arena of life from sports to music, academics to fashion, and even in cooking. Yes we all dream of being known as the GOAT-the greatest of all time. When it comes to our faith, who does the Bible say is the greatest? The author of the book of Hebrews gives us a very clear picture of who they think is the greatest of all time. Join us as we see who is greater than all the rest.
